3. British Virgin Islands as a centre of excellence
We promote British Virgin Islands as a centre of excellence and integrity for international remote betting and gaming companies.
We believe that this can only be secured by the free movement of gambling services across Europe and internally. BVIGA members should be able to freely promote their services in, and accept business from, both European and international countries.
4. World leaders in online gaming
We believe that British Virgin Islands operators and British Virgin Islands’s regulatory regime is world leading.
British Virgin Islands based operators are leaders in the industry in terms of standards, competitiveness, safety, and the overall offering they provide to consumers, and the British Virgin Islands Gambling Commissioner is one of the strictest regulators in the world.
5. Online gaming best practice
We believe that because of the exacting regulation and standards the British Virgin Islands model should be used as an example of best practice across the globe.
Our members are committed to sharing of information to help prevent fraud, money laundering, terrorist funding, underage gambling and other unlawful activity.
The BVIGA actively supports the CEN Workshop Agreement 16259:2011 on “Responsible Remote Gambling Measures” published in 2011. This is the first Pan-European agreement aimed at providing a high level of consumer protection for online players in the European Union.
6. Commitment to the consumer
We ensure social responsibility within the betting and gaming industry effected through support for charities and initiatives including support by our members to responsible gambling trust to educate, help and treat those who do develop problems and ensure they receive fast and effective treatment and support.
